I asked Haji Ma’atoq Abbas Alhaddad, within a long conversion, and he gave me the expected answered. Alhaddad was one of the first blacksmiths in BAPCO. He was spending most of his time in Manama, since he was former Blacksmith in the local market. He has good relationship with the city and its people. He said, “all these avenues and streets are not that old, before the city was full with tight lanes. In addition, the main avenues (like Imam Al-Hussain Avenue and Al-Mutanabi Avenue) in the old Manama was not exist, But they cut and demolished some buildings to get wider space.”
