Readings from Manama is considered one of the major artworks in Jaffar Al Haddad’s artistic career. Where he represents himself, reflects his thoughts and his vision about the city in a physical installation that combines architecture, storytelling, and new technologies of understanding the architecture of the city and the social reflection of these architectural project. Readings from Manama was a central artwork of his first solo exhibition “ Madinat Al Sharq/ Al Shawq” where he discussed how the city was changing all along with the history with keeping the livability and the active community all around its rich history. It is Jaffar’s opening to his archive to share his urban journeys with the public.
