With large-scale transformations to both Manama’s landscape, and the identity of its residents, the city lies at a crossroads – trapped somewhere between nostalgia and the future. At these crossroads emerges a certain indecision between the memories that may gradually diverge and sink towards the dark depths, and the aspirations that distance us from reality, towards an unseen sky. Do we leave memories to sink to the bottom of the sea?
